Methods of slowing down postcount++I believe that posts made in the Introductions forum should not count for a user's total post count, because a new user will likely make a large number of posts in their introduction thread. Additionally, I'm getting really sick of all of these forum games that people use as postcount++, and would like to suggest a forum made specifically for them where posts do not count.
Same idea as that PM you sent me!
What's a sig?

Boy, am I glad neither of you are part of the group to which this thread was addressed.
Now I've got another suggestion: hidden forum only visible to mods and admins for this exact purpose so that we don't have the proles posting in these threads thinking they're better than everyone else.
To be totally honest, it would be really easy for me to just disable postcount in general. I'm in the "post count doesn't matter" camp so...yeah.
On the other hand, what I think I'm going to do is something along the lines of what WarpRattler is suggesting and, possibly, just make postcount invisible while disabling it completely in particular forums. It's weird...I really think postcount++ is dumb but, at the same time, I kinda think it would be nice to have it exist even if it's invisible so I can whip it out in case any one gets desperate and NEEDS to know. Uh, well, no matter what happens, it probably won't happen for a week or so because I'm really busy. (Yeah yeah, same old story, I know. Shut up.)
It's short for proletariat, a term used by Karl Marx. It was a term used in 1984, a classic dystopian novel by George Orwell that everyone needs to go read right now.
For reals, do what the man says. If you're fast, it's a four-hour read. If you like to digest your literature, three-days average.
